Membership of The Centre of Beliefs and Values

The Centre of Beliefs and Values developed from the National Association of Teachers in Higher and Further Education Religious Studies Section. This organization hosts an annual conference and represents particularly the interests of those who teach in the area of Religion and Education at university and college level, but also maintains strong links with those who teach, or are responsible for the teaching of, Religious Education in schools. The executive committee of this Section hosts annual conferences and represents the interests of teachers of beliefs and values at school, college and university level in England and Wales on several important committees which are consulted from time to time by government policy makers in the field of religious and moral education.

The Journal of Beliefs & Values is published from The Centre of Beliefs and Values located at the University of Wales Lampeter, founded in 1822, and the oldest college of the University of Wales. The Journal of Beliefs & Values is available online to institutional subscribers.

To enable its members as individuals to have easy access to its Journal, The Centre of Beliefs and Values has negotiated with Taylor & Francis, the Journal's publishers, a special rate whereby those who join the Centre receive Journal of Beliefs & Values at a reduced member's rate.

In 2003, the Journal increased the frequency of publication to three issues per year (March, August and December).

Individual Subscriptions

The cost of the Journal and membership of The Centre of Beliefs and Values is £25/$45 per annum (Cheques to be made payable to The Centre of Beliefs and Values).
