Aims & Scope
The African Geographical Review (AGR) is a refereed journal published in association with the African Specialty Group of the Association of American Geographers. The journal provides a medium for the publication of geographical material relating to Africa. It seeks to enhance the standing of African regional geography and to promote a better representation of African scholarship.
The AGR is the successor journal to the East African Geographical Review (EAGR) which was founded by the Ugandan Geographical Society at Makerere University, Uganda, in 1963. When the African Specialty Group took over the EAGR in 2000, it renamed it and broadened its scope.
