Aims & Scope

AIMS & SCOPE

The Journal of Statistical Theory and Practice will be a broad-based journal encouraging submission of original research papers, significant review articles, and book reviews. The journal will also consider publishing special editorials on interesting contemporary topics in statistics as well as on topics of historical significance in the development of the subject. It will also publish editorials on "Life and Works" of eminent scholars.

Mathematical correctness alone will not guarantee publication of an article. Novelty of the approach and significance of the research will be major factors in acceptance of research articles.

In addition to covering all traditional topics in statistical theory and applications, the journal will also consider articles in allied fields if they include novel and significant statistical applications. These include, but are not limited to, bio-informatics and genetics, combinatorial theory (including coding theory and graph theory), econometrics, epidemiology, information theory, probability and its applications, psychometrics, statistical computing, statistical consulting and stochastic models in operations research.
