Turbulence is a physical phenomenon occurring in most fluids, and is a major research topic at the cutting edge of science and technology. Journal of Turbulence (JoT) is a digital forum for new theoretical, numerical and experimental concepts aimed at understanding, predicting and controlling fluid turbulence, either statistically or deterministically. The multimedia capabilities offered by this electronic journal (including free colour images and video movies), provide a unique opportunity for disseminating detailed research aimed at deciphering the internal structure of turbulence and modelling in its various fundamental, industrial, geophysical or astrophysical forms.

JoT provides a central repository for communicating studies of fundamental and applied aspects of turbulent flow. Examples include turbulence arising in aero- and hydrodynamics, acoustics, hydraulics, aeroelasticity, transitional flows, combustion, turbo-machinery, heat transfer, two-phase flows, MHD and fusion, environmental flows, internal geophysics, oceanography, meteorology, astrophysics, cryogenic and quantum fluids, and model systems.

All published research articles in this journal have undergone rigorous peer review, based on initial editor screening and anonymous refereeing by independent expert referees.
