Journal Details
Journal of Interprofessional Care
Aims & Scope
The Journal of Interprofessional Care is the vehicle for worldwide dissemination of experience, policy, research evidence and theoretical and value perspectives informing collaboration in education, practice and research between medicine, nursing, veterinary science, allied health, public health, social care and related professions to improve health status and quality of care for individuals, families and communities.
The Journal's scope continues to widen in response to calls for closer collaboration by the WHO and a growing number of national governments in ever more fields of practice, e.g., care for children and for older people, criminal justice, education for special needs, HIV/AIDS, juvenile justice, mental health, palliative care, physical and learning disabilities and others. This is reflected in the range of contributors and readers from different fields, professions and countries.
In addition to original, peer-reviewed papers, regular features also include short reports, abstracts and book reviews. Themes have recently included ageing, ethics, and rural care, from interprofessional perspectives.
Peer Review Policy:
All published research articles in this journal have undergone rigorous peer review, based on initial editor screening and anonymous reviewing by independent reviewers.
