The South African Journal of International Affairs is a publication of the South African Institute of International Affairs, which is an independent, non-governmental organisation which aims to promote a wider and more informed understanding of international issues among South Africans. It seeks also to educate, inform and facilitate contact between people concerned with South Africa's place in the world, and to contribute to the public debate on foreign policy.

The South African Journal of International Affairs is an outward-looking International Relations journal. While taking a South African perspective, articles are comparative, and address issues of global importance. Published since 1993, SAJIA has become a leading South African journal publishing original and review articles on international relations involving and effecting South Africa.
