West European Politics (WEP)has established itself as one of the most authoritative journals covering political and social issues in Western Europe. It has a substantial reviews section and coverage of all national elections in Western Europe.

Its comprehensive scope, embracing all the major political and social developments in all West European countries, including the European Union, makes it essential reading for both political practitioners and academics.

Award
The Vincent Wright Memorial Prize was established in 1999 to honour the memory of Vincent Wright, co-founding editor of West European Politics. Two prizes are awarded annually on the recommendation of members of the Editorial Advisory Board for the best articles published in WEP during the preceding year.

Peer Review
All research articles in this journal have undergone rigorous peer review, based on editor screening and anonymized refereeing by anonymous referees.
