Journal Details
South Asia: Journal of South Asian Studies
Aims & Scope
South Asia is a refereed journal which provides a forum for scholarly research, comment and discussion on the history, society, economy, culture and international relations of the South Asian region, drawing on a range of disciplines from the humanities and social sciences. We welcome submissions on South Asia engaging in periods of inquiry from the earliest times to the present day. The journal is published four times a year; ordinarily there are three general issues and one dedicated to a topical theme per volume. Published since 1971, South Asia is the world's senior journal of record for the South Asian region, published under the authority of the South Asian Studies Association of Australia. South Asia is generously supported by the University of New South Wales, and the Monash Asia Institute, Monash University, Australia.
