This special issue focuses on best-practices innovations in Couple and Relationship Education (CRE), highlighting recent progress in the field. In the past five years, there has been unprecedented growth in the quantity and quality of work in this area. Scholar-practitioners have focused greater work on populations more at-risk of relationship distress and dissolution. Articles in this issue address a number of innovative topics, including educational and clinical interventions with high-risk populations; design and implementation of a domestic violence protocol in a statewide healthy marriage initiative; and development of CRE services that reach greater numbers of couples. The issue also includes several book reviews covering the latest material related to couple and relationship therapy.
