To mark the occasion of the 60th Birthday of Sir Peter Knight, Taylor & Francis published a special issue of the Journal of Modern Optics: Photons, Atoms and Qubits, guest edited by Barry C. Sanders, Jon P. Marangos and Vladimir Buzek. The issue recognises Peter's great contribution to physics, from quantum optics and quantum information to atomic physics and interactions with strong electromagnetic fields; and includes article from a large number of colleagues that have been influenced by Peter and his research at some point in their career.
