Whitehall Papers No. 70 Author: Malcolm Chalmers View the table of contents and read the Author Summary The purpose of this paper is to explore the links between global inequality and insecurity, and to examine possible implications for UK foreign policy. Chapter 2 sets the scene by looking at recent global trends in inequality within states. It argues that the international economic impact of inequality within states is growing as globalisation steadily erodes the barriers between national economies. Chapter 3 then maps the links between inequality and violence, looking in turn at those between inequality and violent criminality, and those between inequality and violent conflict. Chapter 4 concludes by suggesting some possible implications for UK policy. Once processed, a proforma invoice will be sent out. When payment has been received the copy will then be sent.
