Strategies: Journal of Theory, Culture & Politics is dedicated to the theorizing of all aspects of culture, their political implications, and political practices in general.

The journal encourages work that is innovative in both perspective and formal approach, that goes beyond conventional cultural politics and cultural studies, and that suggests new approaches to both culture and politics. The journal believes that theory does not mean simply the application of existing ‘high theory’ to examples of culture and politics, but new ways of theorizing culture and politics.

Strategies: Journal of Theory, Culture & Politics therefore welcomes essays from all cultural perspectives, and especially encourages the inclusion of non-European, women's, queer, multi-cultural and ‘other’ perspectives. Essays may focus on contemporary as well as historical cultural forms, and may range in topic across all forms and media.
