INTERNATIONAL EDITORIAL BOARD
From Volume 15, 1997, Prometheus will be published by Carfax Publishing Limited.
Established in 1983, the aim of Prometheus is to publish high quality peer reviewed research papers and contributions to national and international policy debate relating to issues in technological change, innovation, information economics, and telecommunications and science policy. Contributions on historical aspects are welcome.
The journal is interdisciplinary and seeks to act as a bridge between disciplines, as well as between scholarly work and the policy process. Articles have covered subjects as diverse as job creation in high technology industries and road transport informatics. A series of special country reports have covered the Japanese innovation system, Korean industrial policy, the promotion of
sophisticated technology in Israel, science and technology in modern China, telework in New Zealand, and the transfer of industrial technology to the Western Pacific. The journal aims to:
- publish research
- provide a central and orderly forum from which information may diffuse and in which debate may take place
- illuminate controversial issues
- contribute to the process of policy-making
Prometheus also publishes preliminary findings and major policy announcements. It has an extensive book review section.
