Journal of Sources in Educational History is a microfiche only journal (98 image, 24x, silver halide) which aims to access a wide variety of original source material for students and teachers of educational history. The sources selected, which amount to around 1200 pages of documents per year, provide essential tools for study and a guide to the range of sources available in the field. Sources include selections from books, official records, newpapers, personal recollections and contemporary texts which are often not available in print form. The journal also responds to current areas of interest and study such as material on female education, education for special needs and the education of the under-fives.
The format of the Journal includes a wrap-around cover which stores and protects the microfiche in pockets inside. This style of cover has the appearance of a conventional journal, so the Journal of Sources in Educational History can be kept on bookshelves alongside other related reference guides.
