Indonesia and the Malay World is an international scholarly journal which focuses its study of the region on languages, literatures, art, archaeology, history, religion, anthropology and the performing arts. It is published three times a year, in March, June and November. First published in 1973 as Indonesia Circle, the change of journal title indicates its concern with the entire Malay world and signals a desire to encompass more fully the study of the region.
