Gender and Education is a journal that aids the distribution and exchange of feminist research and ideas in the multidisciplinary, international area of education. Since it is the policy of the journal to establish a forum for discussion and debate about gender in education, articles that examine the experiences of boys and men as well as girls and women are welcome. Education is interpreted in a broad sense to cover both formal and informal aspects, including nursery, primary and secondary education; youth cultures inside and outside schools; adult, community, further and higher education; vocational training; parental education. Though those working in all discipline areas - history, sociology, psychology, philosophy - are invited to submit manuscripts, unnecessary or mystifying jargon should be avoided. A deliberate effort should be made to use non-sexist and non-racist language. Gender and Education is also available in electronic form over the Internet using RealPage software. Customers who have paid the full subscription rate may access the electronic version at no extra charge.
