Instructions for AuthorsSafundi: The Journal of South African and American Studies is a peer-reviewed quarterly academic journal that analyses the United States and South Africa from an international, transnational, and/or comparative perspective and seeks to understand each country in relation to the other. Submissions: All Safundi articles should be submitted as a Microsoft Word Document (.doc) or in Rich Text Format (.rtf) and sent as an attachment to Andrew Offenburger at offenburger@safundi.com. Submissions should address the United States and/or South Africa from an international, transnational, or comparative perspective. Submissions specifically addressing both countries receive priority. Footnotes and References. Safundi uses the humanities system as explained in the Chicago Manual of Style. This consists of brief citations. For example, after placing a footnote in the text, the reference at the bottom of the page should read,

A list of references must follow at the end of the text giving full details of each work cited.
