Instructions for AuthorsLife Writing Please indicate on your submission which section of the journal you are submitting to: Articles, Reflections, or Reviews. Language: All papers should be submitted in English. Addresses: Authors' full postal and email addresses must be supplied. Article and reflection submissions should be no more than 8,000 words excluding notes and references. They should be double-spaced and article submissions should include a short (c. 200 words) abstract, and four keywords. Reviews should be no more than 2,000 words. Articles and reflections should be submitted on disc or by email attachment (as a Word document) to either of the editors (details below). Review articles should be submitted to Bettina Stumm.

However, one edition of the journal each year will be themed, and a call for papers specifically on this theme will be issued on this website, on the editors' university website (www.lifewriting.humanities.curtin.edu.au), and through the International Auto/Biography Association's Listserve (www.iaba.org.cn). If it is felt that submissions are unlikely to achieve publication within a reasonable timeframe, the editors reserve the right to advise authors that their paper may not be accepted prior to the refereeing process. Citations should follow MLA style. Notes should be kept to a minimum. Please use endnotes, rather than footnotes. All references cited, and only these, should be listed under the heading References.
