Instructions for AuthorsUnless agreed otherwise all accepted papers become the copyright of Taylor & Francis. All contributors should be aware they are addressing an international audience.
Manuscripts, preferably between 4000 and 7000 words maximum (including bibliography), should be sent to The Editor, International Studies in Sociology of Education, c/o Helen Oliver, School of Education, University of Sheffield, 388 Glossop Road, Sheffield S10 2JA, United Kingdom. Three complete copies of the manuscript should be submittted, typed double-spaced on one side of the paper. Each paper should be accompanied on a separate sheet by a short abstract of 100-150 words. Manuscripts failing to conform to the following guidelines will not be considered for publication. Manuscripts submitted should be original, not under review by any other publication and not published elsewhere.
All pages should be numbered. Footnotes to the text should be avoided. Sponsorship of research reported (e.g. by research councils, government departments and agencies, etc.) should be declared. To allow refereeing, all submissions must be properly formatted for anonymous reviewing. Authors' names and institutions should be typed on a separate sheet and submitted with the manuscript. The full postal and email address of the author who will check proofs and receive correspondence and offprints should also be included. Style guidelines Description of the Journal's article style Description of the Journal's reference style, Quick guide UK spelling (e.g. colour, organise) and punctuation are preferred (single quotation marks with double within if needed). This journal requires a short paragraph of bibliographical details for all contributors. Please note that this information applies only to authors whose articles have been reviewed, revised, and accepted for publication. Proofs will be available for authors to check if there is sufficient time to do so. They should be corrected and returned to the Publisher within three working days of receipt.
