Journal Details
Instructions for AuthorsAdvice and instructions to contributors: Critique - Journal of Socialist Theory welcomes contributions covering any aspect of Marxist political economy, philosophy and history. Contributors are encouraged to write in a readable and attractive way. We do not expect complexities to be simplified or categories and concepts to be explained but a well written article will have a much greater effect than one whose English leaves much to be desired. Authors should submit complete copies of their paper by email to the editor, Hillel Ticktin, to gkfa02@udcf.gla.ac.uk and to the editorial collective at critique@eng.gla.ac.uk. It will be assumed that the authors will keep a copy of their paper. They may send the article by post to the Editor, if they so prefer, but in any case they must supply the electronic version for printing purposes. In cases where this is impossible they should write or phone Hillel Ticktin, Ampherlaw House, Carnwath ML11 8LH, Scotland, UK, Tel: +44-1555-840242. Book Reviews and Review Articles: Book reviews should normally be between 750-1,000 words. Review articles should normally be between 3,000-5,000 words. Books reviews will be expected within 3 months. Authors are expected to adhere to the Critique Reference and Style Guide. If you are interested in doing a book review or a review article, please contact Dr. Peter Kennedy: P.K.Kennedy@gcal.ac.uk For a complete list of books that are currently available for review please click here. Books for review should be sent to Dr Peter Kennedy, Dept of Sociology and Social Work, Hamish Wood Building, Glasgow Caledonian University, Glasgow G4 OBA. Submission of an article will be taken to imply that it presents original, unpublished work not under consideration for publication elsewhere. By submitting a manuscript, the authors agree that the exclusive rights to reproduce and distribute the article have been given to the Publishers. Permission to quote from or reproduce copyright material must be obtained by the authors before submission and acknowledgements should be included in the typescript, preferably in the form of an Acknowledgements section at the end of the paper, before the Notes, if there are any. Where photographs or figures are reproduced, acknowledgement of source and copyright should be given in the caption.
The desired position for each table, figure and plate should be indicated in the manuscript. Copyright It is a condition of publication that authors assign copyright or license the publication rights in their articles, including abstracts, to Critique. This enables us to ensure full copyright protection and to disseminate the article, and of course the Journal, to the widest possible readership in print and electronic formats as appropriate. Authors retain many rights under the Taylor & Francis rights policies which can be found at www.informaworld.com/authors_journals_copyright_position. Authors are themselves responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce copyright material from other sources. |
