Quotations: Quoted material over forty words in length should be set out from the text by and extra line space before and after. The original spelling and punctuation of the quotation should be reproduced exactly. Poetry, diagrams, line drawings, etc., should be reproduced as their original layout. In brackets at the end of the extract, give the author's name, the title and the date of the work quoted from, and the page numbers of the extract.

Notes: Keep textual notes to a minimum, indicate them with superscript numbers, and provide the note text as a list at the end of the article, before the references.

Style guidelines
Description of the Journal's article style
Description of the Journal's reference styleQuick guide
Use 'ize', not 'ise' spelling where both forms are in use (e.g. 'criticize', 'recognize', etc.; but 'analyse'). Otherwise, British or American English may be used, but please be consistent. Use double quotes, with single within if needed. The full stop should only be inside the quotation mark if the material quoted is a complete sentence. All other punctuation should fall outside quotation marks.
This journal requires a short paragraph of bibliographical details for all contributors.
If you have any questions about references or formatting your article, please contact authorqueries@tandf.co.uk (please mention the journal title in your email).
