Instructions for Authors

Manuscript Submission

Manuscripts are submitted via the IJPSP Manuscript Central web site at http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/hpsp. If you are new to this web site, open a new author account (located at the right side of the web page) and then upload your manuscript according to the web site instructions. You may email ijpsp@iapsp.org for any questions or assistance about this process. Only original manuscripts are considered for publication and are accepted for review on the condition that they are not being simultaneously submitted elsewhere. Acceptable electronic document formats include MS Word or RTF. Manuscript length should be limited to 7500 words, and all manuscripts must conform to The Analytic Press' style and formatting guidelines (including the use of Courier font, 12 pitch, with all margins set at 1.25"; the first line of each paragraph should be indented 0.5", and ALL TEXT must be double-spaced, including abstract, text, quoted passages, footnotes, endnotes, and references). The first page of the manuscript should contain author name(s), degree(s), two affiliations and the title of the article. The second page should contain a 150-200 word abstract of the article. The final pages of the article are reserved for references to all works cited in the text. Page numbers and an abbreviated title (or running head) should appear in the upper right hand corner of every page. Text references follow the author-date system, e.g., (Smith, 1996), and are cited within the text, not as footnotes or endnotes. Multiple text references are listed chronologically, not alphabetically. Every text citation must have its corresponding reference listing in the reference section; the reference list is limited to publications actually cited in the text of the article. A style sheet for final preparation of reference lists will be made available to authors of manuscripts accepted for publication. For more detailed instructions about submission, you may email your request to IJPSP@psychologyoftheself.com.
