JFC follows a policy of blind peer review. To ensure blind review, there should be no author identification information in the text or references. Manuscripts are typically read by two or three reviewers, and the editor. Quality is determined by the reviewers and the editor, and the decision not to publish a manuscript is final. Manuscripts must conform to the conventions specified in the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, the latest edition (www.apa.org), with the exceptions and considerations listed below:
1. Title page: A title page in separate electronic file should contain: (1) Title and author(s) names(s); (2) complete mailing address for author(s), that includes titles(s), affiliation(s), mailing address(es), phone number(s), e-mail address(es), and fax number(s), and (3) acknowledgements, such as grants that supported the research, research assistance, manuscript preparation, and so on.
2. Abstract page: This page should contain (1) the title of manuscript, and (2) an abstract of 200 words or less that succinctly describes the work. The manuscript should follow the abstract page and typically should not exceed 30 pages in length including references, notes, figures, and tables.
3. Figures and Tables: A note should be inserted in the text to indicate the approximate placement of each figure and table. Tables and figures should only be used when they are the most efficient ways of presenting data (e.g., conversational data, factor loadings, etc.).
4. Publication History: Manuscripts that are currently under consideration by another journal, or that have been published previously, in whole or in part, may not be submitted. For further information, please email the editor at jfc@baruch.cuny.edu.
