Guidelines for articles submitted to IJSCC

Method of submission: Email as Word attachment in rich text format to editorsijscc@eastmarden.net

Length: 5000-7000 words, including footnotes and reference list but excluding an abstract of not more than 150 words, which should be placed at the beginning of the article.

Style: Chicago Humanities

Font: Times New Roman; 12 point

Format: Line spacing 1.5; paragraphs not indented

Please use UK spelling (e.g. colour, organise). Use single quotation marks with double within if needed.
This journal requires a short paragraph of bibliographical details for all contributors.

Copyright: The publishers require copyright of material published to be assigned to them. A copyright assignment form will be sent to contributors once their articles are accepted.

Quotation: Quoted matter more than approx. 40 words long should be indented 1cm on right and left, without quotations marks

Biblical quotations should be in English or in transliterated Greek or Hebrew, and references should be cited in brackets at the end of the quotation and within the final punctuation, using the following abbreviations:

Full stops between chapter and verse numbers: Luke 6.12

En rules to mark sequences of verses:
Matt.3.6-8 Luke 6.10-12 John 10.12-14, 16 (N.B. the space after the comma).

Em rules for sequences extending beyond a single chapter:
Matt.6-9

Semicolons to divide distinct references to different chapters of the same book:
John 6.15; 14.12

Semicolons to divide single references to separate books:
Luke 4.12; 2 Cor. 3.8
