Instructions for Authors

Manuscripts to be considered for publication should be submitted to: The Editors, Post-Communist Economies , CRCE, c/o 57 Tufton Street, London, SW1P 3QL, UK. Papers are received on the understanding that thye are not under consideration for publication elsewhere and have not already been published.
Two complete typed copies of the paper should be submitted, and an additional copy retained by the author. They should be typed on one side of the paper, double spaced, with ample margins, and bear the title of the contribution and name(s) of the author(s). Notes and references must also be typed double spaced to facilitate editorial preparation. The full postal address of the author who will check proofs and receive correspondence and offprints should also be included. All pages should be numbered. Footnotes to the text should be avoided wherever this is reasonably possible. Rejected manuscripts will not normally be returned unless a self-addressed envelope and sufficient stamps/international postal coupons have been sent.
Tables and Captions must be typed out on separate sheets and not included as part of the text. Tables and figures should be numbered consecutively by Arabic numerals. The approximate position of tables and figures should be indicated in the manuscript. Captions should include keys to symbols and should be grouped together.
Figures and line drawings must have a title legend and be drawn on separate sheets. Figures will usually be redrawn by the publisher unless the author supplies professionally drawn copies suitable for printing.

Please use British spelling (e.g. colour, organise) and punctuation. Use single quotation marks with double within if needed.

Proofs will be sent to authors, if there is sufficient time to do so, for checking and making essential corrections, not for general revision or alteration. They should be corrected and returned to the publisher within three days of receipt.
