Instructions for Authors

Editorial Scope:
 
The International Journal on Media Management (IJMM) publishes original research and scholarship on the management aspects of the media and communications industries. The content is both interdisciplinary,combining a number of different academic disciplines (strategy, technology, marketing, finance,etc.) and multisectoral, exploring the interrelationship between developments in related industries.While the journal is open to all methodological approaches,all submissions are expected to be theoretically grounded.Visit the website at www.mediajournal.org
 
Submission:

Submitted papers should be no longer than 5,000 words excluding tables and figures. An abstract of the paper, up to 250 words, should accompany the article. A brief bibliographical note should be supplied on a separate page. The title page should include the title of the manuscript, and names and affiliations of all authors (include addresses, phone and fax numbers, and e-mail addresses). Only the title page should contain identifying information.  

International Journal on Media Management receives all manuscript submissions electronically via their ScholarOne Manuscripts website located at: http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/HIJM.  ScholarOne Manuscripts allows for rapid submission of original and revised manuscripts, as well as facilitating the review process and internal communication between authors, editors and reviewers via a web-based platform. Permissions and Copyright Statement:
 
Each manuscript must be accompanied by a statement that it has not been published elsewhere and that it has not been submitted simultaneously for publication elsewhere. Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce copyrighted material from other sources and are required to sign an agreement for the transfer of copyright to the publisher. All accepted manuscripts,artwork,and photographs become the property of the publisher.
 
Peer Review:
 
Every submitted article will be subject to rigorous peer review comprising initial editorial screening and anonymous refereeing by at least two referees. The normal review period is 3 months. Authors should take care that the manuscript contains no clues as to identity.

Illustrations:
 
Illustrations submitted (line drawings, halftones, photos, photomicrographs,etc.) should be clean originals or digital files. Digital files are recommended for highest quality reproduction and should follow these guidelines:
  • 300 dpi or higher
  • sized to fit on journal page
  • EPS,RIFF,or PSD Format only
  • submitted as separate files,not embedded in text files
Color illustrations will be considered for publication;however, the author will be required to bear the full cost involved in their
printing and publication.The charge for the first page with color is $900.00.The next three pages with color are $450.00
each.A custom quote will be provided for color art totaling more than 4 journal pages.Good-quality color prints should
be provided in their final size.The publisher has the right to refuse publication of color prints deemed unacceptable.
 
Tables and Figures:
 
Tables and figures (illustrations) should not be embedded in the text,but should be included as separate sheets or files. A short descriptive title should appear above each table with a clear legend and any footnotes suitably identified below. All units must be included. Figures should be completely labeled, taking into account necessary size reduction. Captions should be typed, double-
spaced, on a separate sheet. All original figures should be clearly marked in pencil on the reverse side with the number,
author's name, and top edge indicated.
Production Notes:
 
After a manuscript is accepted for publication,the author is asked to provide an electronic Word file containing the paper.Files are copyedited and typeset into page proofs.Authors read proofs to correct errors and answer editor's queries.
 
Proofs and Reprints:
 
Page proofs are sent to the designated author using Taylor &Francis 'EProof system. They must be carefully checked and returned within 48 hours of receipt. Reprints of individual articles are available for order at the time authors review page proofs. A discount on reprints is available to authors who order before print publication.
