Instructions for Authors

Submission
Asia Pacific Business Review is a double blind refereed journal. Articles submitted to the journal should be original contributions and should not be under consideration for any other publication at the same time. If another version of the article is under consideration by another publication, or has been, or will be published elsewhere, authors should clearly indicate this at the time of submission.

To be considered for publication in the journal, the Editors must receive an electronic submission as two separate Word document attachments: 1) a cover page with full details of the authors including details of the author's institutional affiliation; full address and contact information; exact length of the article; brief (2-3 line) biographical description; any acknowledgements; and 2) the manuscript without any author identification, that fully matches the journal house style and contains all figures and tables. Electronic submissions must be sent as Word documents and as compressed files to m.warner@jbs.cam.ac.uk and apbr@city.ac.uk, stating APBR as subject with no author identification/name on the manuscript email attachment. Manuscripts should be 6,000-8,000 words (including notes and references). The manuscript should begin with an indented and italicized abstract of around 100 words, describing the main arguments and conclusions of the article, and a list of 5-6 key words. The following sections should be covered in your article: Introduction, Literature, Search/Review, Theory, Hypotheses/Propositions or Research Questions, Data analysis, Discussion, Implications: for theory/theory development; readers; business and, management practice, Conclusions, References, End-notes (maximum 5).

It is the author's responsibility to ensure that where copyright materials are included within an article the permission of the copyright holder has been obtained. Confirmation of this should be included with the submission.

Books for review should be sent to Keith Jackson, The Centre for Financial and Management Studies (CeFiMS), SOAS, University of London, Thornhaugh Street, London WC1H 0XG, UK.

Tables and Figures
Each table and figure must be followed by a heading, and be referred to in the text. Tables should be kept to a minimum and contain only essential data, should be consecutively numbered in Arabic numerals and should be prepared using tabs.

Diagrams, charts, maps and graphs should be consecutively numbered in Arabic numerals. Tints and colours should be avoided, use open patterns instead.

All tables and figures should be provided at the end of the paper and should be consecutively numbered in Arabic numerals with indication in the text of 'Insert x here'. All diagrams, charts, maps and graphs should be in uncompressed .TIF or .JPEG formats.

If figures are provided in hard copy only, they will be scanned and therefore must be supplied on good quality white paper and contain no handwriting or other marks.

The Editors do not wish to receive separate attachments for graphs or tables, please include these in the Manuscript. Please only send:

  1. Cover page with full author details
  2. Full manuscript and tables, etc with no author identification.

No other attachments.
