Instructions for Authors

The Journal of Higher Education Policy and Management welcomes contributions. JHEPM prefers papers to be no longer than 5000 words. This is to maximise the number of papers that can be published. JHEPM also invites short comments, reports and book reviews. The editor is happy to discuss with authors initial ideas and to review preliminary outlines and drafts of possible contributions.

Contributors should bear in mind that they are addressing an international audience.

Submission of papers and books for review

Contributions should be submitted in MS Word format by email to jhepm@optusnet.com.au or ian.dobson@arts.monash.edu.au

Abstract (100-150 words)
Bolded headings (predominantly lower case)

British or Australian English spelling and usage conventions should be followed. Use single quotation marks with double within if needed.

References should follow the American Psychological Association system (APA Publications Manual, 5th edition), with the only exception that authors' names should be presented with roman letters, upper and lower case i.e. they should be indicated in the typescript by giving the authors' names, with the year of publication in parentheses, e.g. Smith (1994); or if there are more than two authors - Smith, et al. (1994). If several papers from the same author(s) and from the same year are cited, (a), (b), (c), etc. should be listed in full alphabetically at the end of the paper on a separate sheet in the following standard form:
