Instructions for Authors

***Note to Authors: please make sure your contact address information is clearly visible on the outside of all packages you are sending to Editors.***

Manuscripts should be sent to the Editor, Professor Michael Freeden, Mansfield College, Oxford, OX1 3TF, UK. Contributions should not exceed 10,000 words.

Three complete copies of the manuscript should be submitted, typed double-spaced on one side of the paper with ample margins. It is essential the full postal address be given of the author who will receive editorial correspondence, proofs and offprints.

Figures and tables should have their positions clearly marked and be provided on separate sheets that can be detached from the main text. The captions to figures should be listed in one group and be provided on a separate sheet. Figure and table numbers should be shown as Arabic numerals.

References and notes should be numbered consecutively and typed in double spacing on a separate page or pages at the end of the text

The method of referencing should be as follows:

Please note that journal titles should be given in full and that authors' full first names or initials may be used. Particular care in the presentation of references would be greatly appreciated by the Editorial Board and the Publisher.
