Instructions for Authors
Submissions:
Authors should submit two hard copies of their manuscript along with one disk.
Manuscripts should be typed, double-spaced and should be between 2,500 and 7,500 words long, excluding notes. Manuscripts should conform to guidelines in the Chicago Manual of Style. About terminology and point of style in Souls: terms such as Black, African American, Afro-American, and Negro are capitalized, unless a contributor has a specific reason for using the term black. Africa American is not hyphenated as a noun or adjective.

Most manuscripts will be reviewed, accepted, or rejected for publication within three months after they have been received. Unsolicited manuscripts will be returned only if accompanied by a stamped, self-addressed envelope.
