This is an outline for potential authors. Authors are responsible for ensuring their manuscripts conform to the journal style. The Editors will not undertake retyping of manuscripts. Please see submission guidelines at http://cns.miis.edu/pubs/npr/submit.htm and the Style Sheet and Citation Format at http://cns.miis.edu/pubs/npr/style.htm.

Submission
Articles submitted to The Nonproliferation Review should be original contributions and should not be under consideration for any other publication at the same time. If another version of the article is under consideration by another publication, or has been, or will be published elsewhere, authors should clearly indicate this at the time of submission. The Nonproliferation Review is a refereed journal.

Postal Submissions: Submission by post must be accompanied by an identical electronic copy on diskette or CDROM. Each printed manuscript should be submitted in duplicate, on one side only, double-spaced with ample margins, and numbered consecutively.

E-mail Submissions: Submission by e-mail should be clearly marked with the subject header 'SUBMISSION'. All electronic copies must be submitted in Microsoft Word and be sent as file attachments only and not as part of the e-mail text. The electronic version should follow the same format as the printed version (see above).

Articles and Book Reviews should be submitted to: Stephen Schwartz, Editor, The Nonproliferation Review. Email: stephen.schwartz[at]miis.edu. Mailing address: Center for Nonproliferation Studies, Monterey Institute of International Studies 460 Pierce Street, Monterey, CA, 93940, USA.

Format
Articles should be 25 to 40 pages (i.e., up to approximately 12,000 words). Viewpoints or reports should be 10 to 25 pages. The article should begin with an indented and italicized abstract of around 100 words. Details of the author's institutional affiliation, full address and other contact information should be included on a separate cover sheet. Any acknowledgements should be included on the cover sheet as should a note of the exact length of the article.

Copyright
It is a condition of publication that authors vest or licence copyright in their articles, including abstracts, in Taylor & Francis. This enables us to ensure full copyright protection and to disseminate the article, and the journal, to the widest possible readership in print and electronic formats as appropriate. Authors may, of course, use the material elsewhere after publication providing that prior permission is obtained from Taylor & Francis Ltd. Authors are themselves responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce copyright material from other sources.

Free article access: Corresponding authors can receive 50 free reprints, free online access to their article through our website (www.informaworld.com) and a complimentary copy of the issue containing their article. Complimentary reprints are available through Rightslink® and additional reprints can be ordered through Rightslink® when proofs are received. If you have any queries, please contact our reprints department at reprints@tandf.co.uk
