Instructions for Authors

***Note to Authors: please make sure your contact address information is clearly visible on the outside of all packages you are sending to Editors.***

The Editor invites submission of theoretical and policy research articles and research notes on contemporary Chinese affairs, as well as book reviews of Chinese language works published in mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, the United States, and other parts of the world. The journal's fields of interest include economics, political science, law, culture, history, international relations, sociology, literature, business and other social sciences and humanities.
The editor welcomes only electronic submission of manuscripts.  Please email all submissions to the editor at szhao@du.edu.  Submissions should contain an abstract and a brief bio of each approximately 125 words.  Place tables and graphs on separate pages at the end of the manuscript. Footnotes should follow the Chicago Manual of Style. Authors may refer to previous issues of JCC for style. Since manuscripts are sent out anonymously for editorial evaluation, the author's name and affiliation should appear only on a separate cover page. The procedures for reviewing manuscripts are based on the anonymity of the author and the confidentiality of readers' and editor's reports. Editorial policy does not provide for transmitting readers' evaluations to authors of rejected manuscripts. Articles submitted to JCC should be original research and should not have been already published or considered for publication elsewhere.

Proofs will normally be sent to authors for checking and making essential corrections, not for general revision or alteration. They should be corrected and returned to the publishers within three days of receipt.

Free article access: Corresponding authors can receive 50 free reprints, free online access to their article through our website (www.informaworld.com) and a complimentary copy of the issue containing their article. Complimentary reprints are available through Rightslink® and additional reprints can be ordered through Rightslink® when proofs are received. If you have any queries, please contact our reprints department at reprints@tandf.co.uk

Copyright and authors' rights: It is a condition of publication that authors assign copyright or license the publication rights in their articles, including abstracts, to Taylor & Francis. This enables us to ensure full copyright protection and to disseminate the article, and of course the Journal, to the widest possible readership in print and electronic formats as appropriate. Authors retain many rights under the Taylor & Francis rights policies, which can be found at www.informaworld.com/authors_journals_copyright_position. Authors are themselves responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce copyright material from other sources.
