Reviews in Fisheries Science provides an important forum for the publication of up-to-date reviews, historical articles, and original research covering the broad range of subject areas in fisheries science. These areas include management, aquaculture, taxonomy, behavior, stock identification, genetics, nutrition, and physiology. Issues concerning finfish and aquatic invertebrates prized for their economic or recreational importance, their value as indicators of environmental health, or their natural beauty are addressed. An important resource that keeps you apprised of the latest changes in the field, each issue of Reviews in Fisheries Science presents useful information to fisheries scientists in academia, state and federal natural resources agencies, and the private sector.
The sheer amount of literature produced in fisheries science often makes it hard to identify new concepts and judge the significance of new information. Abstracting services and conventional review articles can be valuable, but they don't assess the importance of the information or judge its reliability. One of the principal objectives of Reviews in Fisheries Science is to make these assessments and judgments. The journal publishes only those critical reviews that present the latest, most significant developments in your field.
