International Journal of Cultural Policy
Instructions for Authors
The International Journal of Cultural Policy only accepts for review manuscripts of between 5,000 and 8,000 words that are written in English and submitted electronically via International Journal of Cultural Policy's Manuscript Central site at http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/gcul
Authors should prepare and upload two files. One should be a title page including the manuscript title, institutional affiliation(s) of the author(s), the word count of the manuscript (including footnotes, but excluding references), an abstract (150 words), a short bio of each author (50 words each), three keywords that reflect the manuscript's content, author contact details (including email and full postal addresses), and the name of the corresponding author who will check proofs and receive offprints. When uploading their files, authors should define this non-anonymous version as “Title Page ( file not for review)”.
The second file should be a full version of the manuscript with all information identifying the author removed to allow it to be sent anonymously to referees. This file should be defined as “Main Document.”
If tables and/or figures form part of the manuscript, these should be attached as separate, additional files (see below).
Authors should ensure that their manuscript is in keeping with the Journal's editorial statement (see Aims and Scope). All contributors should be aware that they are addressing an international audience. Acronyms for the names of organisations, examinations, etc. should be preceded by the title in full.
Manuscripts submitted should be original, not under review by any other publication and not published elsewhere. All pages should be numbered. Sponsorship of research reported (e.g. by research councils, government departments and agencies, etc.) should be declared.
Non-native English speakers will be expected to have their manuscripts proof-read and edited by a native English speaker prior to final submission.
Tables and figures should not be included as part of the text but should be uploaded as additional files. Captions to illustrations should be gathered together and also typed on a separate page. Captions should include keys to any symbols used. Tables and figures should be numbered consecutively by Arabic numerals and their approximate positions should be indicated in the manuscript. Please supply artwork for figures in finished form as separate, clearly labelled files. Figures may be supplied in TIFF, JPEG or EPS format; a minimum resolution of 300 dots per inch is required. All figures should be suitable for reproduction as supplied and will not normally be redrawn by the publisher.
