All submissions will be sent anonymously to independent referees.

Contributions may be in innovative and non-traditional research paper formats. (iii) short commentary pieces that set out the terms of debate on a document/policy/issue for the Commentary section (not exceeding 3,000 words). Contributions may be deliberately provocative and short responses will be published alongside the Commentary section.
Contributions must clearly indicate the section of the journal for which they are submitted.
Authors should acknowledge any funding sources for studies forming the basis for papers submitted.
All submissions should be made online at Critical Public Health's ScholarOne Manuscripts site. New users should first create an account. Once a user is logged onto the site, submissions should be made via the Author Centre.
Papers will then be dealt with by the Editors, Dr Robin Bunton, Critical Public Health, Centre for Social and Policy Research, School of Social Sciences, University of Teesside, Middlesbrough TS1 3BA, UK, or Jane Wills, Institute for Primary Care and Public Health, London South Bank University, Borough Road, London SE1 OAA.

You will also be asked to give the full name and address (including fax number and Email address if possible) of the author to whom all correspondence (including proofs) should be sent. The submitted manuscript itself should then include no identifying information, to allow for blinded review. The first page of the submitted manuscript should include just the title and an abstract of not more than 250 words. Footnotes should be avoided as far as possible.
Referees are asked to comment specifically on originality, importance to the field of public health, methodological appropriateness and ethical issues and presentation. The journal aims to provide early responses to authors.
