Instructions for Authors

Articles can be considered only if three complete copies are submitted. The preferred file format is .doc (Word2003), .pdf files are not acceptable. The documents should have a double spaced format with ample margins. Page numbers and line numbers should have been inserted. The document should bear the title of the contribution and name(s) of the author(s) on the first page. The full address (including e-mail address) of the author who will check proofs and receive correspondence and offprints must also be included. An abstract of 100-150 words and up to four keywords must be included, starting on page2. Notes to the text should be avoided wherever this is reasonably possible. Any remaining notes should be included in the form of footnotes numbered by Arabic numerals.

The ideas and opinions expressed in the journal are those of the authors concerned and do not necessarily represent the views of the International Input-Output Association.

Tables and captions must be included in the main text on first submission (not on separate pages) and be numbered by Arabic numerals. Captions should include keys to symbols.

Figures and line drawings should be of a quality suitable for grayscale printing and will not normally be redrawn by the publisher. Figures should be included in the main text on first submission (not on separate pages).
 
References should be indicated in the typescript by giving the author's name, with the year of publication in parentheses, for instance with (Leontief, 1966). If several papers by the same author and from the same year are cited, a, b, c, etc. should be put after the year of publication, for instance with (Miernyk, 1979a: 1979b). The references should be listed in full at the end of the paper in the following standard forms. Titles of journals should not be abbreviated.

Equations should be numbered (using Arabic numerals) if reference is made to them in the main text. Scalars should be represented by lowercase italics, vectors should be indicated in bold lowecase symbols f and matrices shoulde be denoted by bold capitals A. Diagonal matrices should be indicated by a hat and primes indicate transposed matrices or column vectors.
 
Sections should be numbered throughout using Arabic mumerals. Sub-sections should only be used where necessary, in these cases the numbering proceeds as 1.1 etc. Secyions are referred to using capitals. e.g. "In Section2, we showed (...)".
 
Acknowledgements could be included after the main text, before the list of references.

Proofs
will be sent to authors, if there is sufficient time to do so. They should be corrected and returned to the publisher within three days. Major alterations or revisions cannot be accepted.
 
Reprints. Corresponding authors can receive 50 free reprints, free online access to their article through our website (www.informaworld.com) and a complimentary copy of the issue containing their article. Complimentary reprints are available through Rightslink® and additional reprints can be ordered through Rightslink® when proofs are received.
