- Authors are requested to send their manuscripts electronically to seamus.hegarty@onetel.net along with one hard copy to: Professor Seamus Hegarty, 5 Ludlow Road, London W5 1NX, UK. Articles should be between 4000 and 7000 words long. In addition to article-length contributions, the editor may accept short reports describing work in progress or responding to articles published in the journal. Only original papers, not published elsewhere, will be considered and copyright in published material will be assigned to the publisher.
Manuscripts should be typed on one side of the paper, double-spaced throughout, with ample margins. The title page should include the full name and affiliation of each author, including the full address for mailing and an email address for the corresponding author. The second page should contain a summary of not more than 300 words in length. A list of up to six keywords for online searching purposes should also be supplied. Manuscript pages should be numbered. Footnotes should be avoided where possible. No manuscripts or parts thereof will be returned to the author. The publishers reserve the right to copy-edit and proof-read all articles accepted for publication.
Tables and captions to illustrations. Tables must be typed out on separate sheets and not included as part of the text. The captions to illustrations should also be typed out on a separate sheet. Tables and figures should be numbered by Arabic numerals. The approximate position of tables and figures should be indicated in the manuscript. Captions should include keys to symbols.
Figures. Please supply one set of artwork in a finished form, suitable for reproduction. Figures will not normally be redrawn by the publisher.
Citations of other work should be limited to those strictly necessary for the argument. Any quotations should be brief, and accompanied by precise references.
