Editorial Policy

Justice Quarterly is a multidisciplinary journal that publishes theoretical contributions and empirical studies on issues of crime and justice. We welcome articles from authors trained in all disciplines applying various methodologies to the study of crime and the justice system.

Manuscript Submission

Justice Quarterly will consider only original manuscripts not published previously or currently under consideration. All submissions should be made online at Justice Quarterly's Manuscript Central site . New users should first create an account. Once a user is logged onto the site, submissions should be made via the Author Centre. For more information on how to use Manuscript Central site click here.

Authors should prepare and upload two versions of their manuscript. One should be a complete text, while in the second document, all information identifying the author should be removed from files to allow them to be sent anonymously to referees. When uploading files, authors will then be able to define the non-anonymous version as "File not for review."

Corresponding authors can receive 50 free reprints, free online access to their article through the publisher' website (www.informaworld.com), and a complimentary copy of the issue containing their article. Complimentary reprints are available through Rightslink and additional reprints can be ordered through Rightslink when proofs are received. Clearing Permissions

Authors are responsible for obtaining permission from copyright holders to reproduce in both print and online form those illustrations, tables, figures or lengthy quotations previously published elsewhere. Permission must be obtained before submission to the publisher. The acknowledgment should be added to the typescript and the source and copyright of photographs or figures credited in the accompanying captions.

Copyright

It is a condition of publication that authors vest or license copyright in their articles, including abstracts, in the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences. This enables us to ensure full copyright protection and to disseminate the article, and the journal, to the widest possible readership in print and electronic formats as appropriate. Authors may, of course, use the material elsewhere after publication providing that prior permission is obtained from Taylor & Francis Group Ltd.
