Instructions for Authors
Manuscripts. All submissions will be subject to the normal process of peer review. Electronic submissions are preferred. If you are submitting hard copy please submit three copies of your manuscript, typed on one side of the paper and double spaced, as well as an electronic version on disk (see below) to the Editor (18 Les Amalrics, 81240 St Amans-Soult, France. Email: drmichaelbrettcrowther@gmail.com). Contributors should note that material submitted to the journal must be original, must not have already appeared in another publication and must not be submitted for publication elsewhere while under consideration by the journal.
The title of the paper and the author(s) name(s) should appear at the beginning of the paper. All pages of the manuscript must be numbered. All manuscripts should include full correspondence details (street address, telephone, fax and email addresses) of the corresponding author. The paper should also include an abstract (of 100-150 words) and 3-6 keywords. English language is preferred, but French or German papers will be accepted if an English summary of 200-300 words is also supplied.
Please make sure contact address information is clearly visible on the outside of all packages you are sending to the Editor.
Disk submission. If submitting hard copy authors should send the final, revised version of their article in both hard copy (paper) and electronic (disk) forms. It is essential that the hard copy (paper) version exactly matches the material on disk. Please print out the hard copy from the disk you are sending. Submit three printed copies of the final version with the disk to the Editor. Save all files on a standard 3.5-inch high-density disk. We prefer to receive disks in Microsoft Word (PC format), but can translate from most other common word-processing programs as well as Macs. Please specify which program you have used. Do not save your files as "text only" or "read only".
Tables and figures. Tables and figures must be typed on separate sheets and not included as part of the text. The captions to illustrations should be gathered and typed on a separate sheet. Tables and figures should be numbered buy Arabic numerals. The approximate position of tables and figures should be indicated in the paper. Please supply clear copies of artwork (preferably the originals) for figures in a finished format suitable for reproduction. Figures will not normally be redrawn by the publisher. Photographs intended for halftone production must be good glossy original prints of maximum contrast. Label each figure with author's name and figure number, indicating top where this is not obvious. The author(s) must arrange permission for the reproduction of illustrations and tables within articles. Figures may be sent electronically, preferably in either TIFF (tagged image format) or EPS (encapsulated Post-script) formats. However we can also accept PICT or JPEG formats. The publisher will normally reproduce colour figures in black and white.
Equations and formulae. Mathematical: Mathematical equations should preferably be type-written, with subscripts and superscripts clearly shown. To simplify typesetting, please use (1) the "exp" form of complex exponential functions; (2) fractional exponents instead of root signs; and (3) the solidus (/) to simplify fractions e.g.3/4, exp x1/2. Chemical: Please supply reproducible artwork for complex chemical matter such as ring formulae. Chemical equations referred to in the text should be indicated with Arabic numbers set over to the right in parentheses. Marking: Where chemistry is straightforward and can be set (e.g. single line formulae) please distinguish between e.g. double bonds and equal signs, and single bonds and hyphens.
References. These should be cited in the text by consecutive Arabic numbers enclosed in brackets. The full list should be collected and typed at the end of the paper in numerical order. Journal names should be written out in full. Citations such as "personal communication" are not acceptable as numbered references but may be included in parentheses in the text.

Copyright and authors' rights : It is a condition of publication that authors assign copyright or license the publication rights in their articles, including abstracts, to Taylor & Francis. This enables us to ensure full copyright protection and to disseminate the article, and of course the Journal, to the widest possible readership in print and electronic formats as appropriate. Authors retain many rights under the Taylor & Francis rights policies, which can be found at www.informaworld.com/authors_journals_copyright_position. Authors are themselves responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce copyright material from other sources.
Exceptions are made for authors of Crown or US Government employees whose policies require that copyright cannot be transferred to other parties. We ask that a signed statement to this effect is submitted when returning proofs for accepted papers.
