Instructions for Authors
Manuscripts should be sent by e-mail attachment to the EAIR Secretariat in Amsterdam, e-mail: Eair@eair.nl.
Manuscripts should be filed in Word or rtf, page numbered, double spaced with ample margins, bearing the title of the article, name(s) of the author(s), and the address where the work was carried out. All manuscripts appearing in TEAM are peer reviewed, and should not be under consideration for publication elsewhere. The journal's language is English. British English or American English spelling and terminology may be used, but either one should be followed consistently through the contribution.
Manuscripts for TEAM normally fall into one of the following two categories:
- Articles, ideally between 4000 and 6000 words (including references, tables and figures)
- Comments and critique, usually not more than 3000 words (including references, tables and figures). Articles in this category will be printed in a separate "Forum" section of the journal.
Authors should state clearly in the covering e-mail and in the manuscript which category the contribution is intended for. All manuscripts should have a title, and be accompanied by an abstract of no more than 150 words. In the manuscript, first, second and third order headings should be clearly distinguishable but not numbered. Supplementary material should be collected in an appendix and placed after the references. Notes should be avoided, but if used, should be placed as endnotes before the references. Acknowledgements of people, grants, funds, etc. should be placed in a separate section before the references. Cross-referencing in the text should use the following formats:
- Winograd (1986, p. 204)
- (Winograd 1986a, 1986b)
- (Winograd 1986; Olsen, Jared, Gilliam & Smith, 1990)
- Bullen and Bennett (1990)
- (Bullen & Bennett, 1990)
Figures and Tables. Figures and tables should be saved as separate files without their captions, which should be included in the text of the article. Captions should include keys to symbols. Files should be named according to DOS conventions, e.g. ´figure1.eps.´Each figure and table should be numbered and mentioned in the text with the approximate position of figures and tables indicated.
Figures and Tables should be cited in the text with no abbreviation, i.e. always use Figure/Table.
References. References should be listed in alphabetical order at the end of the article using the following formats.
