Instructions for Authors

ScholarOne Manuscripts
This journal uses ScholarOne Manuscripts (previously Manuscript Central) to peer review manuscript submissions. Please read the guide for ScholarOne authors before making a submission. Complete guidelines for preparing and submitting your manuscript to this journal are provided below.

All submissions should be made online at the Journal of European Public Policy ScholarOne Manuscripts site. New users should first create an account. Once a user is logged onto the site submissions should be made via the Author Centre.

Authors should prepare and upload two versions of their manuscript. One should be a complete text, while in the second all document information identifying the author should be removed from files to allow them to be sent anonymously to referees. When uploading files authors will then be able to define the non-anonymous version as "File not for review".

Editor: Prof. Jeremy Richardson, NCRE, University of Canterbury, Private Bag 4800, Christchurch 8140, New Zealand; email: jeremy.richardson@canterbury.ac.nz or jeremy.richardson@nuffield.ox.ac.uk

All articles are peer reviewed. They should be in English, formatted in double spacing (including all notes and references), and should not exceed 8,000 words in length including notes, references, table, figures and diagrams. (For each page of tables, figures and diagrams, reduce your word limit by 475 words). Please include the word count at the end of the text, together with the date of the manuscript.

An abstract of the paper, of no more than 150 words, should be incorporated in the first page of the article together with one to six key words suitable for indexing and on-line search purposes.

The Harvard (name-date) system of referencing is used in this journal; any additional notes should be placed at the end of the article before the references.

A brief biographical note about each author, along with each author's full correspondence address (postal and email) should be supplied with the article in a separate document.

Further Notes on Style.

Free article access: Corresponding authors will receive free online access to their article through our website and a complimentary copy of the issue containing their article. Reprints of articles published in this journal can be purchased through Rightslink® when proofs are received. If you have any queries, please contact our reprints department at reprints@tandf.co.uk

As an author, you are required to secure permission if you want to reproduce any figure, table, or extract from the text of another source. This applies to direct reproduction as well as "derivative reproduction" (where you have created a new figure or table which derives substantially from a copyrighted source). For further information and FAQs, please see: http://journalauthors.tandf.co.uk/preparation/copyright.asp.
