Instructions for Authors

ScholarOne Manuscripts
This journal uses ScholarOne Manuscripts (previously Manuscript Central) to peer review manuscript submissions. Please read the guide for ScholarOne authors before making a submission. Complete guidelines for preparing and submitting your manuscript to this journal are provided below.

Manuscripts. Papers should be between 6000 and 8000 words, although other lengths and formats will occasionally be accepted and will be considered on a case-by-case basis. All papers will be anonymously reviewed.  These files should be saved as Word documents, although PDF documents will also be accepted. If submitting via PDF please ensure that you submit both a named copy and an anonymous copy.

All submissions should be made via the Journal of Global Ethics ScholarOne Manuscript Site.  Submitting authors should first create an account by clicking on the 'Create Account' button in the top-right corner. Manuscripts are submitted via the 'Author Centre'.

Please note that all articles submitted to the journal must be original. The Editors will not accept articles that have been published elsewhere (including online).

Abstracts and Key Words Papers should be submitted with an Abstract of not more than 200 words and with 4-6 Key Words.

Tables, illustrations and figures
. Authors must obtain permission to reproduce illustrations when necessary, and pay the relevant copyright fees and other costs. Tables and figures should be submitted on separate sheets and not included in the text of the article. Figures will not be redrawn by the publisher. Accordingly, they should be submitted in a form that is suitable for publication. The place at which a table, figure or illustration is to be inserted in the printed text should be indicated clearly on the manuscript. Captions should include keys to symbols.

Style
. Write clearly and concisely, using arguments that are fully substantiated with well-reasoned analysis and, where appropriate, empirical evidence. All acronyms for national agencies, examinations, etc. should be spelled out the first time they are mentioned. Contributors are asked to take account of the international readership of the Journal of Global Ethics by explaining in full the use of terms that might be meaningful only to a particular local or national audience. For all manuscripts, non-discriminatory language is mandatory. Citations of other work should be limited to those strictly necessary for the argument. Any quotations should be brief, and always accompanied by precise references.

Copyright: It is a condition of publication that authors assign copyright or license the publication rights in their articles, including abstracts, to Taylor & Francis. This enables us to ensure full copyright protection and to disseminate the article, and of course the Journal, to the widest possible readership in print and electronic formats as appropriate. Authors retain many rights under the Taylor & Francis rights policies, which can be found at http://journalauthors.tandf.co.uk/preparation/copyright.asp.

As an author, you are required to secure permission if you want to reproduce any figure, table, or extract from the text of another source. This applies to direct reproduction as well as "derivative reproduction" (where you have created a new figure or table which derives substantially from a copyrighted source). For further information and FAQs, please see http://journalauthors.tandf.co.uk/preparation/permission.asp
