Instructions for Authors

Submission: Manuscripts should be sent as an MSWord email attachment to editor@ijhp-online.eu.
Presentation: Documents should have page numbers and should bear the title of the contribution. Full details of all authors should be provided on a separate first page which will be removed to ensure anonymity during peer review. The full postal address, telephone number and e-mail address of the author who will check proofs and receive correspondence and offprints should be included. Footnotes to the text should be avoided wherever this is reasonably possible; where they are used, they should appear as end notes. For guidance about the presentation of tables, figures and references please see below.
The Review Section includes reviews of books, reports and major policy documents and developments. Reviews of publications (about 1000 words) may be of a single publication, or two or more related publications. Policy review articles of 4000 to 5000 words in length are also welcome. Tables and figures should not be inserted into the text but provided as a separate file. Their approximate location should be indicated in the manuscript. Refer to all tables as Tables and number consequtively. All other illustrations (maps, charts, diagrams, photographs, etc.) should be referred to as Figures and numbered consecutively. Tables and figures should include short, informative captions and, where appropriate, keys to symbols. All captions should be gathered onto a separate page at the end of the document.
References. These should be indicated in the typescript by giving the author's name and the year of publication, as follows: Weaver (1978) or (Weaver, 1978). If several papers by the same author and from the same year are cited, a, b, c, etc. should be put after the year of publication. The references should be listed in full at the end of the paper in the following standard form:
Hegedus, J. and Tosics, I. (1996) Hungary, in P. Balchin (ed.) Housing Policy in Europe. London: Routledge.
Kemeny, J. and Lowe, S. (1998) Schools of comparative housing research: from convergence to divergence, Housing Studies 13(2),pp. 161-176.

Titles of journals should not be abbreviated.
Proofs. Corrections should be clearly identified and returned to the publishers within three days. Major alterations to the text cannot be accepted.
Free article access. Corresponding authors will receive free online access to their article through our website (www.tandfonline.com) and a complimentary copy of the issue containing their article.
