Instructions for Authors:

Macroeconomics and Finance in Emerging Market Economies invites original research contributions on all aspects of macroeconomics and finance and their interaction.

Submissions
Macroeconomics and Finance in Emerging Market Economies is a refereed journal. Articles submitted to Macroeconomics and Finance in Emerging Market Economies should be original contributions and should not be under consideration for any other publication at the same time. If another version of the article is under consideration by another publication, or has been, or will be published elsewhere, authors should clearly indicate this at the time of submission.

The Editors welcome submission of material for consideration as a main article or as a shorter policy paper. Main articles should be approximately 7,000-8,000 words in length (including notes and references), plus a 100-word summarising abstract. Policy papers should be in the range of 2,500-3,000 words. Manuscripts should be submitted electronically in Word doc format to mfeme@igidr.ac.in and marked for the attention of the appropriate Editor:

Presentation
Articles should be typewritten, double-spaced and with ample margins. All pages (including those containing diagrams and tables) should be numbered consecutively.

All tables and illustrations should be numbered consecutively, have a caption and be referred to in the text. Illustrations should be submitted in black and white as JPEG or TIF files, preferably with a resolution of no less than 300 dpi for clear reproduction, in the final submission.

Manuscripts should be arranged in the following order of presentation. First sheet: title; subtitle (if any); author(s) name, affiliation, full postal address and telephone (and/or fax) number; abstract; keywords; JEL classification numbers; brief author biography; acknowledgements (if any). Second sheet: title only (no author details); abstract; keywords; JEL classification numbers. Subsequent sheets: main body of text; list of references and footnotes; appendices; tables (on separate page in the main manuscript); captions to illustrations (on a separate page in the main manuscript); illustrations (on separate page in the main manuscript). The text should be organised under appropriate section headings.

It is the author's responsibility to ensure that, where copyright materials are included within an article, the permission of the copyright holder has been obtained. Confirmation of this should be attached in a separate file.

Proofs for checking will normally be sent to the first-named author to whom any correspondence and offprints will also be addressed. Proofs are supplied for checking and making essential typographical corrections, not for general revision or alteration.

Please use British spelling, as in the Oxford Dictionary (e.g. colour, organize). Use single quotation marks with double within if needed.
This journal requires a short paragraph of bibliographical details for all contributors.
