Instructions for Authors
***Note to Authors: please make sure your contact address information is clearly visible on the outside of all packages you are sending to Editors.***
SUBMISSION OF MANUSCRIPTS.
Authors should submit an e-mailed electronic copy of manuscripts for submission. Manuscripts should be double spaced, with a maximum length of 8,000 words including notes and references and include any original illustrations. Please send to Shannon Lowe, Assistant Editor, pp. Mick Dillon and Scott Wilson, Co-editors, Journal for Cultural Research, Institute for Cultural Research, Cartmel College, University of Lancaster, Lancaster, LA1 4YL, UK, and e-mailed to: s.lowe@lancaster.ac.uk and m.dillon@lancaster.ac.uk
Manuscripts must conform to the Harvard reference style. The Harvard system uses the name of the author and the date of publication as a key to the full bibliographic details which are set out in a reference list at the end of the article. Notes should be kept to a minimum and will be reproduced as endnotes. Tables, figures, and plates should be submitted in clear copy on separate sheets attached to the article. Photographs should be high-contrast black and white glossy prints. All captions for figures and plates should be listed on a separate sheet. The desired position of illustrations should be indicated in the margin of the manuscript, along with an indication of the preferred size of reproduction (e.g. full page, half page).
Proofs.
Authors are expected to correct and return proofs of accepted articles within 48 hours of receipt.
Free article access: Corresponding authors will receive free online access to their article through our website (www.informaworld.com) and a complimentary copy of the issue containing their article. Reprints of articles published in this journal can be purchased through Rightslink® when proofs are received. If you have any queries, please contact our reprints department at reprints@tandf.co.uk
Copyright.
It is a condition of publication that authors vest or license copyright in their articles, including abstracts, in Taylor & Francis. This enables us to ensure full copyright protection and to disseminate the article, and the journal, to the widest possible readership in print and electronic formats as appropriate. Authors may, of course, use the article elsewhere after publication providing that prior permission is obtained from the Publisher, provided that acknowledgement is given to the Journal as the original source of publication, and that the Publisher is notified so that our records show that its use is properly authorized. Authors are themselves responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce copyright material from other sources.
