Submissions: Manuscripts to be considered for publication should be sent to one of the editors: Fassil Demissie, Public Policy Studies, DePaul University, 2320 N. Clifton Ave, Suite 150, Chicago, Illinois 60614, USA, diasporajournal@depaul.edu; Sandra Jackson, Center for Black Diaspora, 2320 N. Kenmore Ave, Room 551, and Chicago, Illinois, 60614, USA, diasporajournal@depaul.edu; Abebe Zegeye, School of Graduate Studies, University of South Africa, PO Box 392, Pretoria, South Africa 0003, zegeya@unisa.ac.za.

Authors should submit by email one electronic copy of their paper with a maximum length of 6,000 words, including notes and references. Manuscripts must be accompanied by an abstract of no more than 150 words, a list of up to 4 key words, suitable for indexing and abstracting servicing, and a biographical note of not more than 30 words about each author. Details should be given of the author's full postal and email addresses as well as telephone and fax numbers.

Tables, figures, and photographs with captions should be electronically supplied in a separate file, with a resolution of no less than 300 dpi. They can be submitted in hardcopy if clearly labelled; photographs should be high-contrast black and white glossy prints. The desired position and size of the illustration should be indicated within the manuscript (e.g. <insert figure 1, size: half page, caption>)

The content of articles should not infringe any existing copyright. If any table, figure, photograph or more than a few lines of the text from previously published work or unpublished theses are included in the manuscript the author must obtain written permission for republication from the copyright holder; the original source should be clearly referenced and acknowledged.

Reprints: Corresponding authors will receive free online access to their article through our website (www.informaworld.com) and a complimentary copy of the issue containing their article. Reprints of articles published in this journal can be purchased through Rightslink® when proofs are received or alternatively on our journals website. If you have any queries, please contact our reprints department at reprints@tandf.co.uk.

Copyright: It is a condition of publication that authors assign copyright or licence the publication rights in their articles, including abstracts, to Taylor & Francis. This enables us to ensure full copyright protection and to disseminate the article, and of course the Journal, to the widest possible readership in print and electronic formats as appropriate. Authors may, of course, use the article elsewhere after publication without prior permission from Taylor & Francis, provided that acknowledgement is given to the Journal as the original source of publication, and that Taylor & Francis is notified so that our records show that its use is properly authorised. Authors retain a number of other rights under the Taylor & Francis rights policies documents. These policies are referred to at http://www.tandf.co.uk/journals/authorrights.pdf for full details. Authors are themselves responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce copyright material from other sources.
