Instructions for Authors

Typescripts
Typescripts should be typed with double spacing and wide margins (1 to 1 and one half inches) on good quality paper and submitted (five [5] copies) along with a disc copy to either: Professor Lisa Penaloza, Scientific Director, InteraCT Research Center Professeur, Departement Hommes, Marches et Culture, Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales du Nord, 58 rue du Port, 59046 Lille, Cedex, France; or Jonathan Schroeder, The University of Exeter, School of Business & Economics, Streatham Court, Exeter EX4 4PU, UK. A stamped and self-addressed envelope should also accompany the typescript. Alternatively, manuscripts may be submitted by email to lisa.penaloza@edhec.edu or J.E.Schroeder@exeter.ac.uk. Submission of a paper to this journal will be taken to imply that it represents original work not previously published, and that it is not being considered elsewhere for publication.

Length: The maximum preferred length is 45 pages.

Abstract: Each paper requires an abstract of 100-150 words summarizing the significant points covered.

Illustrations
Where the paper contains illustrations, these should be numbered with consecutive arabic numbers (Figure 1, Figure 2, etc.), have descriptive captions and be mentioned in the text. Keep illustrations separate from the text but indicate an approximate position for each in the margin.

Preparation: Illustrations submitted must be of a high enough standard for direct reproduction. Line drawings should be prepared in black (India) ink on white paper or tracing cloth, with necessary lettering included. Alternatively, good sharp photoprints ("glossies") are acceptable. Photographs, if submitted, must be good glossy original prints of maximum contrast.

Size: Illustrations should be planned so that they reduce easily to page width (5 1/8").

Captions: A list of illustration captions, with relevant numbers (Figure 1, Figure 2, etc.), should be set out on a separate sheet and included with the typescript.

Tables
Much useful data can be collected in tables, but these should be presented in a clear and concise form to help both typesetter and reader. Draw a horizontal rule at the head and at the foot of the table, with one rule after column headings. Number tables consecutively with arabic numerals (Table 1, Table 2, etc.), and put a clear descriptive caption at the top of each table. Avoid the use of vertical rules in tables.
