Instructions for Authors
East European Jewish Affairs is a refereed journal. Articles submitted to the journal should be original contributions and should not be under consideration for any other publication at the same time. If another version of the article is under consideration by another publication, or has been, or will be published elsewhere, authors should clearly indicate this at the time of submission. There is no standard length for article but 10-11,000 words (including notes and references) is a useful target. Details of the author's institutional affiliation and full postal and email addresses should be included on a separate page, along with any acknowledgements and a note of the total word count of the article. An abstract of approximately 150-200 words should be included, along with a short biographical note to appear at the end of the article.
Electronic Submission. Authors should send the final, revised version of their articles in both hard copy paper and electronic forms. It is essential that the hard copy (paper) version exactly matches the material on electronic file. Please print out the hard copy from the electronic version you are sending. Submit two printed copies (double spaced) of the final version, together with the electronic version, to the Managing Editor, Sam Johnson, East European Jewish Affairs, Department of Hebrew and Jewish Studies, University College London, Gower Street, London, WC1E 6BT, United Kingdom; Email: sam.johnson@ucl.ac.uk. Electronic material should be in PC compatible MS Word format. Endnotes should be used rather than footnotes.
