Instructions for Authors

***Note to Authors: please make sure your contact address information is clearly visible on the outside of all packages you are sending to Editors.***

Manuscripts, preferably between 4000 and 7000 words, should be sent to the Editor, Professor Indira Carr, University of Surrey, Faculty of Management and Law, Austin Pearce Building, Guildford GU2 7XH. Email: imcarr@btinternet.com; accompanied on a separate sheet by a short abstract of 100-150 words. Manuscripts failing to conform to the following guidelines will not be considered for publication. Particular care in the presentation of references would be greatly appreciated by the Editorial Board and the publisher. All contributors should be aware they are addressing an international audience.

Three complete copies of the manuscript should be submitted, typed double-spaced on one side of the paper. It is essential the email and postal address be given of the author who will receive editorial correspondence, reprints and proofs.

Electronic Submissions. Authors should send the final, revised version of their articles in both hard copy paper and electronic disk forms. It is essential that the hard copy (paper) version exactly matches the material on disk. Please print out the hard copy from the disk you are sending. Submit three printed copies of the final version with the disk to the journal's editorial office. Save all files on a standard 3.5 inch high-density disk. We prefer to receive disks in Microsoft Word in a PC format, but can translate from most other common word-processing programs as well as Macs. Please specify which program you have used. Do not save your files as "text only" or "read only".

Figures and tables should have their positions clearly marked and be provided on separate sheets that can be detached from the main text. The captions to figures should be listed in one group and be provided on a separate sheet. Figure and table numbers should be shown as Arabic numerals.

Wherever possible please avoid the numbering of headings and subheadings; such detailed numbering, as in a legal document, is both inappropriate and unnecessary in a journal article.

Copyright. It is a condition of publication that authors assign copyright or license the publication rights in their articles, including abstracts, to Taylor & Francis. This enables us to ensure full copyright protection and to disseminate the article, and of course the Journal, to the widest possible readership in print and electronic formats as appropriate. Authors may, of course, use the article elsewhere after publication without prior permission from Taylor & Francis, provided that acknowledgement is given to the Journal as original source of publication, and that Taylor & Francis is notified so that our records show that its use is properly authorised. Authors retain a number of other rights under the Taylor & Francis rights policies documents. These policies are referred to at http://www.tandf.co.uk/journals/authorrights.pdf for full details. Authors are themselves responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce copyright material from other sources.
