Instructions for Authors

Manuscripts should be sent to the Editor, Erik Dietzenbacher, Department of Economics, University of Groningen, P O Box 800, NL-9700 AV Groningen, The Netherlands.

Articles can be considered only if three complete copies are submitted. They should be typed on one side of the paper, double spaced, with ample margins, and bear the title of the contribution and name(s) of the author(s). The full postal address of the author who will check proofs and receive correspondence and offprints must also be included.

An abstract of 100-150 words and up to four keywords must be included. Footnotes to the text should be avoided wherever this is reasonably possible. All pages should be numbered.

The ideas and opinions expressed in the journal are those of the authors concerned and do not necessarily represent the views of the Association.

Tables and captions must be typed out on separate sheets and not included as part of the text. Tables and figures should be numbered by Arabic numerals. The approximate position of tables and figures should be indicated in the manuscript. Captions should include keys to symbols and should be grouped together.

Figures and line drawings should be of a quality suitable for printing and will not normally be redrawn by the publisher. Figures should appear on separate sheets.

References should be indicated in the typescript by giving the author's name, with the year of publication in parentheses, for instance with (Leontief, 1966). If several papers by the same author and from the same year are cited, a, b, c, etc. should be put after the year of publication. The references should be listed in full at the end of the paper in the following standard forms. Titles of journals should not be abbreviated.

Books, monographs:
Leontief, W. (1966) Input-Output Economics (New York, Oxford University Press).

Multi-author volumes:
Stone, R. (1970) Demographic input-output: an extension of social accounting, in: A. P. Carter & A. Bródy (eds) Contributions to Input-Output Analysis (Amsterdam, North-Holland).

Journal articles:
Bródy, A. (1993) The trap of monetary equilibrium, Economic Systems Research, 5, pp. 113-121.

Proofs will be sent to authors, if there is sufficient time to do so. They should be corrected and returned to the publisher within three days. Major alterations or revisions cannot be accepted.
